The brand
The Weston Theatres logo: the W mark and WESTON THEATRES wordmark in near-black on cinema yellow
The W mark pairs with a wide, open wordmark set in two lines, in near-black on cinema yellow. The mark also stands on its own as the app icon, the favicon, and the sign on the building.
01 — The brief

Going to the movies should feel like an event. Weston needed a brand with the confidence and energy of opening night — one that could stand out on a crowded street and still feel effortless inside an app.

The identity had to work across a wide range of places: storefront windows, building signage, digital tickets, and every screen of a ticketing app, without losing recognition at any size.

02 — The approach

One signature color, one simple mark, and a lot of restraint everywhere else.

The W mark is built from two parallel slashes that read instantly, light up beautifully as signage, and scale down to an app icon. A saturated cinema yellow against near-black does the rest — so the brand is recognizable from across a parking lot or at a glance on a phone.

03 — Palette
  • Yellow#F6C744
  • Navy#0E1B2D
  • Cream#FEFBEF
  • Stone#9E9882
  • Black#120F02

Yellow leads, backed by navy for headlines and type. Cream and stone round out the system as supporting neutrals, and black gives film imagery room to stand out.
